 Excellent for a dwarf sized rabbit November 2, 2008

We have this on our screened porch; our bunny is outside if it's under 85F outside. It was simple for me to put together by myself in under 30 minutes (and I'm not handy). I didn't even need a screwdriver; the wood pieces are connected with screws and butterfly wingnuts - if that's what they're called. I just used my fingers. I line the whole thing with newspaper which I change every morning. My bunny has a fleece bed and a handful of fresh hay in the hutch every day - the water bottle, food bowl, and small corner litterbox fit well in the playpen area. We let the bunny out on the porch to run around most of the day when we're home. There isn't enough room for any kind of exercise in the playpen.
My only complaint - the top of the hutch opens, which is wonderful, but the only door on the playpen is the one side door. That makes cleaning the far corners hard - I have to unclip the cage from the base to wipe down the back side of the playpen. I wish there were a door on the top for cleaning ease.
All in all, a great cage, sturdy and spacious.

This cage is one of the only premade cages I've seen that provide an adequate amount of space for my guinea pigs. It's also one of the most aesthetically pleasing trays I've seen. Having the wooden shelter is really helpful for providing a hiding space, but is also easy to access since the top flips up and stays that way if you want to reach inside. The wires are spaced very close together so the cage can be used for most small pets, even mice. The cage is easy to put together and take apart, and extremely easy to clean since the bottom pan can be removed and doesn't absorb any urine. I just dump the tray contents into a trash bag and wipe down the tray with a damp towel, then I'm good to go in about ten minutes!
I have since upgraded to a larger cage designed from the instructions on [...], but I have incorporated the wooden house and tray into the new design.

This cage is very spacious for a miny lop(floppy eared) rabbit. All the other cages by Amazon seem to be way TOO small. Plus, rabbits too need their privacy, and the hutch is ideal for this. Mine spends a majority of his time in the hutch. Also there is no wire mesh on the sliding out pan. This is great bacause I think wire mesh is too much of a problem during cleaning, with stuff geeting caught up in it. In addition, wire mesh hurts an animal's feet. Ya gotta think, would I like to live in this? Also,rabbits can be litter trained like cats.My rabbit hates bedding on the floor of his cage and only goes to the bathroom in the litter box making clean up easier for me.
