love it! November 30, 2008 Beth Chev (New Jersey) This is great! My cats sleep on it constantly. I'm going back to buy 3 more.
My cat loves it November 20, 2008 S. Granborg This item is perfect for the kitty that needs a warm place to curl up. I leave it on 24/7, and my older cat is glued to it during the winter. Only downside is that it does not come with a cover...a fleece lining would have been nice. I just use a towel to cover it and place it in a pet bed.
Great warm bed, while it lasts November 16, 2008 H. Emery (Dallas, TX USA) My older cat just loves her heated bed. She has to have it because she has arthritis and is just so small and gets real cold without it. The heated bed itself is a lifesaver and works very well. But I've gone through two of these heated pet warmers. This last one only lasted about 12 months. I'm about to purchase my third heating pad. So, if it's important enough to you to keep your animal warm, it will cost you about $30 a year. Perhaps other people have had better luck...but a year to 18 months is all I've been able to get out of mine.
Not a great idea October 13, 2008 J. Tully (NJ, USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Our cat loved this mat and slept on it all the time. Problem was that he started losing hair on his stomach and his skin looked funny like he had a skin condition or rash. We took him to the vet and when she found out we had an electric heater pad she told us to stop using it. It took about 2 or 3 months but his hair has grown back. We kept the cover but threw away the electric heat. Just as we shouldn't sleep with an electric blanket neither should our pets.
Highly Recommended For Elderly Kitties! August 28, 2008 Cats&Music (Rockville, MD, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the 6th K&H pet bed warmer I've bought, and I've been very satisfied with the quality of K&H products. Each bed warmer has lasted years (literally) before eventually heating too low for my cats' comfort, but I do keep the pads on 365 days a year for my elderly cats. At first I bought the warmers with outer covers, but I found an alternative: 14" x 20" fleece pads which are very, very soft and washable. My Geezer-kitties love the fleece, and although I clip my cats' claws, these fleece pads are thick enough to provide protection when my kitties knead. I get these fleece pads online from a rescue cat organization, so purchases help rescue more cats. You can find them in the online store at: http://va.siameserescue.org/ My younger cats only use bed warmers during the colder months, but my Geezer-Meezers spend their days and nights snuggling on the fleece and K&H warmers! Anything to soothe their aches and pains. Getting old is hell!
